Thanks to everyone's help (including Joe - sorry didn't meaan to leave you out of my thanks yesterday), I have got what I want working under I.E.

Can anyone please point me in the right direction so that I can get an equivalent function in Netscape and Opera, etc.?

I would prefer to only used Javascript code that is W3C compliant - is that possible for my problem?

Many thanks again

Rob
