Yes, get the pointer, declare a based variable, etc. Then tell the API that
you've got as much storage as you need.
This is the technique I'm using to allow you to upload a file via HTML
<INPUT TYPE="FILE"> tag.

i think i understand; by providing a variable as parm that's based
upon a pointer that was set by QUSPTRUS?

Or were you thinking of something else, like a "wrong" prototype?
