Yes, Jim...tried that also.  I really suspect the icon isn't being served
for some reason.  I have a PASS directive that says PASS /* WebPages/* which
I believe allows everything to pass from my WebPages directory out on the
IFS.  We have many images in the root and deeper directories which are
served from out CGI-BIN RPG programs just fine so this one is really
stumbling us.

that I created in an icon editor, saved it at 16x16x256 yet if I point to
it, my browser wants to open or save it.  If i choose open, the icon opens
up in my icon viewer.  Pointing to Yahoo or MSNBC for example
(www.yahoo.com/favicon.ico or www.msnbc.com/favicon.ico) simply displays the
icon right in IE.  My icon is no different than their in dimensions and
color depth so I think it's the HTTP server balling it up.
