Just went to my web site analyst for visits over a period of time.  80.52% of 
people visiting our web site over a 6 month period used some version of 
Internet Explorer.

Which leaves 20% of people visiting our web site *NOT* using Internet Explorer. 
 These are real world numbers.

The break down is roughly this:
Internet Explorer 5.x: 47.93%
Internet Explorer 6.x: 30.71% (sharp cut off from 5.x to 6.x in one month 
period)
Unknown: 12.24% (Your guess is as good as mine)
Netscape 4.x: 4.86%
Internet Explorer 4.x: 1.88%
Netscape 5.x: 1.12%
Netscape 3.x: 0.64%
Internet Seer: 0.15% (Spider)

With the rest making up spiders and totally obsolete browsers (Netscape 2.x, IE 
3.x, etec...)  The funny thing is, Netscape 6.x doesn't even show up on the 
list unless it's the Unknown, or it's now emulating IE.

So, I count 4.86 + 1.12 + 0.64 = 6.62%, at least, of my web customers who order 
from our web site using some version of Netscape less than 6.0.  Opera's in 
there with 0.01%.

So you wouldn't mind, at all, loosing 6½% of your customers from now on?  Heck, 
if your sales are $1,000,000 a year, that's only $66,200 you're throwing out 
the window.  If you're doing $10,000,000 a year, what's a measly $662,000, eh?

Especially in this economy, I don't think we can afford to throw customers away 
because it'll take an extra week to support a browser we don't use.  Yes, I 
have IE, Netscape 4.7x and Netscape 6.x all installed on my computer, and I 
test our web sites with them.
