But alas, not so! Give your users options:

Give your user a button to download the PDF if they want to or give them the
option to e-mail it and then let your CGI program issue the SNDDST command.
That way you only generate it if they approve and you only do the work if
they request it.  This is similar in context to a 'Printer-Friendly' button
like you see on many web articles.

If you think creating the PDF is hard you haven't checked out Brad Stone's
SPLTOOL at www.bvstools.com.  All kinds of nifty stuff in there that would
help you with this project.  I'm sure there are other options as well.  I
just think that trying to get an HTML file to fit a pre-printed form is
frought with peril and will eventually fail.
