FYI: Weblogic has supported iSeries / AS400 for quite some time.

I have been able to get the weblogic app server running on the 400 (a while
ago) without many problems.  I can't speak to it's performance though, as
it was just a proof-of-concept exercise.

I may be exploring that option with more vigor in the near future, though.

Obviously, I will report my findings.
