Thank you, Walden. I found the job. I noticed that the messages disappear once the job finishes. Is there anyway I can make the log stay out there even after the job completes ?

There should be a QZDASOINIT job for each connection from your server. Look at the job log for that job. At least that is the job for Hit Software's OLE/DB driver but I think it uses the same 400 side components as the IBM drivers.

I checked the log and could only see what time the job entered the subsystem (QSERVER). According to the log the job is still active. But ASP comes back with the error I stated earlier. Is there any other way I can get a detailed log ?

The command object shouldn't make a difference. Execute is a valid method on the connection object. Of course I'm not sure why the command object is in the mix, but it's not hurting anything.

Sushama, have you checked the AS/400 joblog for the connection? You'll find the joblog to be the best source of debugging information when these things occur.

It looks like you're trying to call execute on your connection object instead of your command object.

I guess it has something to do with the library/file not being recognized.
In an earlier example I had used :
cm.CommandText = "/QSYS.LIB/SPIL.LIB/PBDAGENT.FILE(*FIRST, *NONE)"
cm.CommandType = adCmdTable
Set rs = cm.Execute
But I wanted to use SQL instead. I would highly appreciate it if someone could point out to me how to do this.
