Tom it could be time out issues any messages in the WAS logs rather than the
job logs, it could be timeout issues on start-up? How much memory in the
machine?

Thanks Bleddyn

We have installed WAS 3.5.3 and all seems well except we have to start and
end the QEJBSBS subsystem several times before the instance will stay
running. This morning I had to stop and start the subsystem 4 times before
the instance would stay running.
The QEJBADMIN and QEJBMNTR start up just fine.
In the joblog for QEJBADMIN the message shows the instance started but then
another message a few minutes later stating the instance has ended
normally.
We have applied every PTF we can find. Does anyone have any ideas on why
the instance will not stay running on the first try?
We are running v4r4 on a model 500 that is used as a developer box. Only 2
of us on the system.
Thanks for any help.
