I'm using RDi 9.5.1.

When I'm looking at a field in an RPG program sometimes it would be
helpful to know the subroutine I'm in.

This function is available in 9.5.1.0 so you're in luck!
Inside the SUBR, put the cursor on a line that is NOT an IF/END; try a
comment or a calculation line.
Initiate the outline mode, Ctrl-Shift-O.
At the bottom RDi will show the subroutine name.
Ctrl-F5 to stop showing the outlining graphics.
There may be a way to do it with the mouse but I am mouse-challenged, LOL!
