From the Windows menu, I clicked Preferences, and there is no iSphere
item. I searched for iSphere in the Plug-ins tab of "IBM Rational
Developer for i Installation Details" and found nothing. Apparently, the
iSphere plug-in was removed entirely from my installation. Weird. The
only thing that comes to mind is that my trial license expired and IBM
granted me a 30-day extension via a .JAR file last week. I do not recall
whether I'd seen that message in the subject line prior to my trial license
expiring.

So, following your other advice, I just decided to install iSphere via
Install New Software. I see all the iSphere thingies now, and no more "not
found" message on the bottom of the editor. (For others' reference, to be
able to do this, I had to start RDi using "Run as Administrator"; don't
know if that's just me, or a Windows7 thing, or what, but, YMMV.)

Thanks for your help, Thomas!

Dan,

First goto "Preferences -> iSphere" and check, whether or not you have the
"STRPREPRC Utility" preference page. If you do not see that page, you can
reinstall the plug-in from "Help -> Install New Software...". Select the
iSphere Update Site and then the iSphere STRPREPRC plug-in and start the
install process.

Thomas.

Hi Thomas,

I am nearly certain that I never explicitly removed any iSphere plug-in.
If this message indicates that the STRPREPRC plug-in was removed, how do I
install it (again)?

Dan,

You do not need to reinstall iSphere. I assume that you installed the
iSphere STRPREPRC plug-in and then removed it again. Therefore please
go to "Preferences -> LPEX Editor -> User Action" and remove the
following
entries:

SprPrePrc.AddPostCompileCommand
SprPrePrc.AddPreCompileCommand
SprPrePrc.EditCommand
SprPrePrc.EditHeader
SprPrePrc.RemoveHeader

That should fix the problem.

Regards,

Thomas.

The message in the subject line appears at the bottom of my edit
window as soon as I start up RDi. And does not appear to go away.

And ideas? Reinstall iSphere?
