Yes the shortcuts in the start menu were gone as if the app no longer
existed post-update. Those "folders" in the start menu you mentioned WERE
GONE. Really weird.

I managed to find a way to run IM enough to uninstall RDi and reinstall
it. Fixed everything up OK. My workspace was unaffected this whole time
so that saved me some time.

Did it really remove the shortcuts? That behaviour seems odd. Windows
will have temporary shortcut-like entries in the first page of the Start
menu for the last application(s) installed. If you go and look through All
Programs in the Start menu and drill down into the IBM Installation Manager
and IBM Software Delivery Platform* folders in the Start menu you will
find them. Right click on the real shortcut and select the "Pin to Start
Menu" action and it should get replicated back to where you saw it before.

Applied a whole raft of Win 10 updates an hour ago and that process deleted
the start menu shortcuts to start RDi. and Installation Manager. Can
anyone supply the targets of the links to start them up? I have code to
do.
