Re: [WDSCI-L] Print problem - if monospace font specified, prints in
variable spacing

Hi Michael

Yeah, I can set the font size - by default it takes the screen font
settings.

There is a print.font thing - I've not really tried changing that on the

command line - there is not a place to set it in the preferences that I
saw - there IS a preference under LPEX editor->appearance for the screen

font setting.

I see a Print section under LPEX Editor, but it has margins and header
and footer stuff only.

I believe I SHOULD be able to override any font settings in the command
string for printing - I can do it when setting margins different from
the defaults.

So I see a couple things here - probably a PMR needed for my last
sentence about overriding stuff.

And an RFE to put font settings in the Print section of LPEX Editor.

Later
Vern

If you add the RFE, I'll vote for it. Yesterday I did 'set
default.print.font courier-12'
Today, I do a 'query default.print.font' and I still get
'default.print.font "Courier-Regular-12"'

I was going to ask two things (well, at the risk of sounding like Monty
Python) three:
1) What does 'query print.font' show? I would expect it to be 'print.font
default'
2) What does 'query default.print.font' show?
3) What printer are you printing to?

However, I've tried printing in Lucida Console. That definitely prints
proportionally spaced. Something odd at work here. I would open a PMR if I
really wanted to print with Lucida. I generally use Anonymous Pro which
prints nicely, too.
