Could be. Quite possible. I "fat finger" all the time, but that
wouldn't eliminate the member from the "recently used" list.

DISCLAIMER: I have no inside knowledge of the Eclipse or RDi internal
workings. My comments here are strictly based on observation.

I've always found the recently used list to be flaky--At times things are
there and at other times, they aren't.

Maybe you fat fingered CRTL+SHFT+S (Save All) and triggered the save
all and close all actions.

Thanks, Matt

Well, I can sort of glean from that exercise that for LPEX it
shouldn't do anything.

But it's good to know that upon occasion, RDi goes "brain dead" for
a few seconds or more. Probably trying to figure out what I REALLY
want to do. (My wife would say: "Good luck with THAT!")

You're probably more accurate with that evaluation than you would think.
I've seen that behavior in other Eclipse based applications. I think it
does an initialization (perhaps even a re-initialization at times) of the
key bindings. I don't know that it's entirely an Eclipse problem--I've
seen the same thing in Access Client Solutions at times. That would point
to Java at the root.

Of course it could even be a Windows thing. I've seen other apps do some
really weird pauses before. I would just blame it on Windows 8.1, but
before I got it my system was used by someone who installed and
uninstalled a lot of stuff. I'm trying to get it set up to reformat the
hard drive and do a fresh install from the ground up. I would probably
even prefer if I could just get Windows 7 installed. It's not likely any
virus/malware. This systems been scanned with more anti-xxxx utilities
than I would care to think about.

Anyway, sometimes the delay only lasts a few seconds. Other times, it's a
minute or more. (More is a rare occasion).
