How is "oneSpace" better than End, SHIFT-down-arrow, SHIFT(position-cursor as necessary using arrow keys to where you want the next line joined) and hit the Delete key? That even cleans up any comments out to the right. The sequence sounds complicated, but is easy once the rhythm is established. The positioning is enhanced by using SHFT-CTRL-left arrow, sometimes.

I edited plenty of lines just that way, so I'll not be throwing any
shade on that method. However, I find action oneSpace handy because
once I've typed that once, the command history keeps it available for
me, so the whole sequence becomes

End
Escape
Up arrow
Enter
Escape

I'm a "don't let your fingers leave the keyboard, and
don't take your eyes off the screen" kind of guy myself.
