The death of DDS - well, many of us know what Mark Twain said about rumors of his demise. (I won't say we ALL know, because I have no foundation on which to say that!)

DDS for printer files and display files is not going away, just there probably won't be much in the way of enhancements.

The thing that is touted to replace DDS is DDL (SQL's data description language), and that has nothing to do with screens and reports.

As to PFs and LFs,well, DDS for those is not being enhanced - new stuff goes into SQL, basically.

Cheers
Vern

was just quicker for me. I remember thinking it just didn't "feel" right.

I did not know we were moving away from DDS. I better get on the ball.
Not sure how I would make a display file without it, though. I still use
SDA for that.
