Hi Michael
The Remote Systems>IBM i> Cache is the cache that should be cleared. But
if you haven't closed and reopened Screen Designer then we will still have
a copy in memory. The best thing to do is to go to the properties page for
the field and the Reference tab and hit the Refresh button.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Error clearing cache
Sent by: "WDSCI-L" <wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx>

Running RDi 9.5.0.2

I have several screens and programs which reference fields from a physical
file. I changed the size of a field in the file and the changes aren't
showing up the display files (RDi Screen Designer). I seem to recall a
thread about clearing the cache(s).

I've also been seeing the asterisk indicating a change to source members
when I'm opening the members in Browse mode. So I know it's not possible
anything has really changed. Sounds like time to clear the cache also.

So I went to do that. When I navigate to Windows, Preferences, Remote
Systems, and File Cache then click the 'Clear Cached Files' button, I get
an error dialog titled "RSEF6102" and has the text "Unable to synchronize
cache changes to host. Operation cancelled."

I can clear the cache under Remote Systems, IBM i, Cache, but I don't
think that's the cache at issue here.

Jeff Young posted a question about this issue back in September 2013 (
http://archive.midrange.com/wdsci-l/201309/msg00104.html), but I couldn't
find any responses.

Any suggestions on what to do?

Thanks,
Michael Quigley
