Antivirus software has been causing strange problems in perfectly
working software for decades. Virtually everything I install on my PC
advises that I disable any AV as well as end all other applications
prior to installation. The idea is to get the new software installed
without anything else in the environment mucking about with memory,
interrupts (including keyboard), and drivers. It was a suggestion for
you to try. I made an assumption that the posts in this thread were
asking for advice, but it appears I'm wrong. It's OK to rant now and
again; we all do it. Now that I realise this thread isn't asking for
advice, I'll bow out.
