It sounds like you need to modify your filter to have several less generic
filter strings.
For instance, if you libraries LIBABC, LIBBCD and LIBCED:
Using LIB* creates a filter with all three libraries.
To exclude LIBBCD, you'd need to use two filter strings (LIBA* and LIBC*)
to define your filter.

I have several libraries in my one filter and need to remove the
unwanted ones from the filter and not the system.

I cannot find a way to accomplish this.

Using the delete option physically removes the library.
