I have no problem with renaming the list. Edmund makes a great point that
we'll call it RDi even if the name changes--that's what we've effectively
done with wdsci-l.

As far as RDi being a little too cryptic for folks, we've lived with
wdsci-l (Websphere Development Studio Client for i) for many years. The
one question I have would be if you can have an alias of WDSCi-L and a
redirect for external links? Then it could still be found--or someone
coming back to look at the list after an extended absence could still
find/reach the list. We also still get questions periodically from someone
actually using WDSCi.

Case should be irrelevant for any compliant MUA (Mail User Agent) or MTA
(Mail Transfer Agent).

I remain grateful the list is currently available and has such accessible
archives.

Re: [WDSCI-L] *** ADMIN: Should this list be renamed?

If they wanted to change the name, it would probably kill me. Not that,
that would stop IBM of course.
But I have seen no smoke signals. The fact that Rational is really not
an
IBM organization does worry me.
But none of the Rational IDEs have been renamed so far thankfully.

At this point, I think Rdi is more recognizable than WDSc and even if we
renamed it tomorrow (again, I know nothing to suggest this), we still
will
be calling it RDi for years to come.
