I think this is a very important requirement that I would like to address.
It is related to
https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/execute?use_case=viewRfe&CR_ID=64901
which has a similar requirement for procedure wizards
But in your case you want it for Content Assist.
Please create a new RFE and vote for the other as well.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Default case for fields inserted via context assist
Sent by: "WDSCI-L" <wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx>

Is there some whay to control the default case of field names inserted into
the source using context assist (aka auto-complete)?

If I've used the field in my program, it insterts with whatever case I've
used in my program. But if I haven't used it yet. It inserts in all
uppercase.

I'd really like it to be inserted in all lower case.

I don't see a preference for this.

Thanks!
Charles
