Jon,

IBM servers were updated to disable certain types of SSL connections due to
the Poodle SSL vulnerability late last year. Unfortunately, this affected
older Installation Manager versions connecting to the update servers. The
older IM versions don't get any response back at all from the servers so
can't issue a better message.

Thanks,
Eric

OK - updating the IM seems to have worked.

No idea how/why the setting changed.

I?m also somewhat frustrated that instead of issuing a sensible message
like ?You can?t use the version of IM you have with this repository?
instead the idiotic thing just fails to connect and throws out an error
message. Not helpful.

I just ran the update - here's the repository I'm using -

https://www.ibm.com/software/repositorymanager/com.ibm.rational.developer.ibmi.v91

That looks the same as you have - I pasted it here, just in case it
weren't.

I'm using v1.8.1 of IM.

When I try to use Installation Manager it is telling me there are no

The repository is currently set to
https://www.ibm.com/software/repositorymanager/com.ibm.rational.developer.ibmi.v91
- is that not correct?

Be really nice if IBM included the correct repository information with
these announcements. Maybe it is there but I?m danged if I can see it.
