You won't need STRRSESVR if you use service entry breakpoints. (Must people
skip STRRSESVR and just use SEP because of the firewall issues).

Subject: [WDSCI-L] RDi debugger question
Sent by: "WDSCI-L" <wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx>

When debugging an interactive application running in a 5250 session, can
anyone confirm that the user *must* be able to successfully get the
STRRSESVR command to run in said 5250 session, regardless of how the RDi
debugger is initiated?

RDi debugger prompted me that I needed to run this command in order for the
debugger to communicate with my 5250 session, but the command errors out
with RSE2001 after about 3 minutes or so. Searches seem to indicate a
firewall issue, and I am working through that now, but I thought I had the
debugger "working" (although it was pointing to the wrong source code)
prior to the first time the debugger prompted me to run that command.
