Dan,

You do not need admin rights, as long as you can put files into the RDi
'plugins' and 'features' directories or at least into the 'dropins' folder.

But there is no way to install the plug-ins when both options fail. Somehow
we need to give the plug-ins to RDi, didn't we?

I did not yet try it myself, but I assume that it should be possible to
import the iSphere iProject and then use RDi to deploy it to the host. Once
it is on the host, one could use the BUILD command to compile the objects:

CRTCMD CMD(ISPHERE/BUILD) SRCFILE(ISPHERE/QBUILD) SRCMBR(BUILD)
PGM(*REXX) REXSRCFILE(QBUILD) REXSRCMBR(BUILD1) REXCMDENV(*COMMAND)

So far I always started with importing an iProject from the host. But I did
not yet start with an iProject on the PC.

Let me know if you want to give it a try.

Thomas.

Also, I noticed there is a library to install on the server. Devs aren't
allowed to restore savefiles here. Can't use FTP. The only practical way
I can do this is to copy/paste source through an RDi session and compile on
my own.

Hi,

I created the following iSphere update sites to ease installing and
updating the plug-in:

RDi: http://isphere.sourceforge.net/eclipse/rdi8.0/
WDSCi: http://isphere.sourceforge.net/eclipse/wdsci7.0/

Beta versions can be installed from here:

RDi: http://isphere.sourceforge.net/beta-version/eclipse/rdi8.0/
WDSCi: http://isphere.sourceforge.net/beta-version/eclipse/wdsci7.0/
