For what it's worth, there's no shame in liking line numbers. A lot
of programmer's editors show line numbers by default, and I do feel
kind of disoriented without them. I'm not trying to dissuade you from
trying Buck's method, just reinforcing his point that it's not
"better" per se, just that it's one viable way of working.

Also, it should be noted that (a) I don't use RDi, and (b) source code
on the i is a somewhat different beast than on other platforms because
source physical files have *embedded* line numbers. I don't know
whether RDi is like SEU in that it uses the embedded line numbers
unless there's a conflict, or whether RDi is providing its own
sequential line numbers, independent of the source PF.
