Eric,

Thanks so much! I have passed it on to my fellow RPGLE developers....

Most complain to me, why they can't just do an update, rather doing a complete separate install to upgrade from RDI 9.0.1 to RDi 9.1.
<frown> I said I don't know why, you will have to ask IBM. <smirk>

It has been said many times before, but it would be nice if you could just update the current RDI from IBM Installation manager. <gripe>
Okay, beating a dead-horse here... <LOL>

Apparently, I was the only person on RDI 9.1 at my work-place. I installed my update to RDi 9.1 back in May. <Big Smile>

Most did not upgrade, because they did not like that version collapse the outlive view, which is fixed in RDi 9.1.1. <Big Smile>

OH well, GO RDI!!!!

So far it is working GREAT!!! <Joy Joy>

Thanks Again!

Ken,

They will need to install RDi 9.1 since it is a new version. They can start with the trial site to get the 9.1 image if they want (
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/downloads/r/rdi/) but they will need to apply the RDi 9.1 RPG and COBOL Tools license.

If you do a web install of the 9.1 trial, it will automatically be at 9.1.1 level.

Thanks,
Eric

Hi,

My update from RDi 9.1 to 9.1.1 went very smoothly. Except my IBM installation manager is 32-bit, not 64-bit. But, still went very well!

But, many of my co-workers are trying to update from RDI 9.0.1 to RDi 9.1.1 and it is not working for them.

How do I instruct them to update their RDI? Of course we have license! <Big
Smile>

Go RDI!!! <Joy Joy>
