Badges? We don't need no stinking badges! (Or security.)

We actually updated/replaced all of the retail store4 PCs with Win7 because
of PCI. Boy, did the boss/owner hate that; he had to forego the upgrade to
the summer house!

Me? I'm semi(mostly)-retired. Just earning a couple of bucks for a movie
and popcorn once a month.

Jerry,

Not sure what business you're in...

But if you happen have to be compliant with HIPPA, SOX and/or PCI...

Being on a supported release is pretty much required.

Thanks, Edmund. I doubt I could talk them into spending any money on
the system. I know because I had a heck of a time convincing them to
add disks a few years ago ("Well, you're at 90%..."). Not that
they're planning on replacing it; that would cost, too.

FYI, Jerry, RDi should run against V5R1 just fine.

Just replaced my XP PC with a Win 7 PC.

The company's System i is running V5R1 and there is no chance they are
going to upgrade (at least, not in my lifetime). But we do have a
license for WDSc 7. However, when I try installing it on my Win 7 PC,
though the splash panel comes up, it just sits there when I push the
"Install" option.

I was afraid of this. Is there any way to install and use WDSc in Win 7?

Thanks.
