Jon,

The only reference I can find to it is in the Java documentation for class
AS400:

http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/iadthelp/v9/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.etools.iseries.toolbox.doc%2Fjavadoc%2Fcom%2Fibm%2Fas400%2Faccess%2FAS400.html

here's a TinyURL for that: http://tinyurl.com/pso23oo

Although there's not much detail.

Subject:

[WDSCI-L] What is "Record Access Service" ?

Working at a customer today and when we use the Verify Connection
option it shows an error that indicates that Record Access Service
is not available. But everything seems to work - including display
of data from files etc.

So does anybody know what it is used for? And what server needs
starting? In all other cases RDi seems to tell you how to start the
server - but we can find zero information about this one.
