SQL Managers cannot use a "LIBRARY-LIST" like Green Screen...

For my Database perspective, I set my default database to my production library, which works for me...

I am using IBM Data Studio 4.1 installed inside of my RDi 9.0.1 session...

I want to "SO BADLY" like the Database perspective, but it is little things like this that drive me nuts...

Short-Answer: in properties enter in your default library after your Power-System name running IBM i as this:
<MyIBMiBox>/<MyDefaultLibrary>

HOST: DevBox/ProdLib (Sample dummy names...)

I have no idea "Default Schema" is used for, because no MATER WHAT I put in there, it does not work!

PS. Does anyone know what the "Default Schema" does in the Data Perspective?

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Database Development Perspective

Hello all,

I'm trying to use the Database Development Perspective that was included with RDi V9.

I have my connection string set up and testing it says it pinged successfully.

However where I try to execute a statement, I get the following error:

SQL0202 'filename' in 'USER PROFILE' type *file not found.

I'm scratching my head because even though the connection properties specify *libl for the schema, somewhere something is interpreting my user profile name as either a schema or a library name and I cannot figure out how to resolve this.

One other note is that the last time I used this was with the original release of V9 (and I have since upgraded to the latest version), but I had a note to remind myself that I had to qualify all fields referenced with library-name-dot preceding each field name.

So I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction to resolve both of these issues.

Thanks in advance.
