Subject: [WDSCI-L] RDi 9.0.1 free-form SQL formatting questions
Sent by: wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx

I'm seeing some odd behavior in free-form SQL formatting on V7/TR6. While
SELECT gives me a new line for each variable, FETCH NEXT, INSERT INTO, and
MERGE don't. When you're working on a long statement, you have to add a
semicolon to prevent the editor from appending the next (non-SQL) line.
Finally, the formatting sometimes doesn't work at all--it looks like
leading spaces or blanks lines cause a failure even on simple statements
(EXEC SQL OPEN RO, for example, but if I remove the blank line before that
line it it formats properly). In addition, my comments don't stay in
place--they get sucked to the left

I've adjusted the options available under Remote Systems LPEX Editor | ILE
RPG | Free-Form SQL Formatting, including New Line After Comma. Have I
missed an option somewhere?

Thanks!
