I have ran into this several times, or at least similar...

I will not have the "COMPILE" menu even show up. I click on another tab, to "FORCE" a refresh/Re-Paint, and then I get the compile command...

And once in a while the compile options are "grayed-out". I cannot repeat this on demand, it seems sporadic.

And yes, the source member had the "FOCUS". I use "CLASSIC VIEW" and least the active windows has a light blue around the board. Regardless, I even click on the tab, and it is still not active.

Clicking on another view/tab, forces a re-paint, and that works every time. Which I seem to be doing more and more. I have tried the "-clean" option too...

I like the "OLD" Eclipse, where I can FORCE a "Bright-Color" around the Active Window with focus. This seems to be have eliminate on this version of eclipse... <Sadly>

Just like Windows 7 & 8, you can no longer customize all the windows colors, like you could do in Windows XP... <Big Frown> The Aero is neat, but that "faded blue" menu selections on Aero DRIVES ME NUTS. So, I use CLASSIC VIEW... (Inside of Eclipse too!)

Subject: Re: [WDSCI-L] RDi 9.0.1 Save grayed out

Not the same issue, but awhile back I opened a PMR due to the compile options being grayed out. I thought they had it fixed in 9.0.1... until it happened yesterday for the first time. And this is another one of those I cannot reproduce on demand either...
