The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

What I do is simply start with the default RSE perspective then add/remove
the desired views and do a 'Save Perspective As' and in my case name it
'Full Screen'.
I'm not sure why your custom perspective is missing but I suspect it's
because it's not really a part of your workspace hence the need to do the
'Save Perspective As' function.
The other thing I do is save my preferences to my network share, and then
import them after an upgrade, however I found that some of my preferences
didn't get imported to my V9 environment. It would be nice if the Rational
development team were able to incorporate saving custom perspectives along
with the preferences and allow them to be imported to upgrades and future
releases. (And maybe notify the user of which preferences failed to import
or aren't supported for import.)
