And Gad, remember that installing with Administrator authority is NOT
going to happen just because you are logged in as an admin.

You have to right-click the executable and take the option to "Run as
Administrator"

Just in case you weren't aware - and others might not know that, either.

Oh yeah, turn off antivirus applications while installing, just in case.

If you don't have one open, go to:
Window -> Show View -> Other ; then expand General and select Error

Log.

Then look in the error log view for the error and double click it.
It might show an exception Stack Trace that could be useful.

Look in your workspace:

C:\_workspace_\RemoteSystemsTempFiles\_systemName_\QSYS.LIB\MyLib.lib

\QRPGLESRC.FILE\

(substitute appropriate values for _workspace_ and _systemName_)
Do you see the requested member?


Also, being windows 7...
Maybe create a new workspace, but be sure to start RDi with 'run as
administrator', then give it a new workspace name?
Then check again to see if the member is downloaded.

A newbie question:

I've just installed RDi 9.0 on my Win 7 PC and connected to our

i machine (7.1) When trying to open a source Mbr (by double

clicking

it) I'm getting a message "Openning Member Mylib/QRPGLESRC

(MyMbr)

has encountered a problem. an internal error has occurred.
(Java.leng.NullPointerException) The same happens with QCLSRC

MBRs.

Googling the Err message got me nowhere

Anyone care to advise?
