I've found that DDS lags when you have really big data dictionary defined. It constantly refers to that object and ties it up.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Excessive garbage collecting

Regularly, in RDi 9.0.1 (but also in RDi 8.5) eclipse "hangs" for half a second, apparantly because of garbage collecting, which is unworkable if it happens continuously.

Previously, with 8.5, the problem appears when i edit DDS (Display) sources.
I don't have this problem when editing RPG(LE) sources.

I already tweaked the VM arguments:
-Xms256m
-Xmx1280m
-Xmnx256m
-Xscmx96m
-XX:MaxPermSize=512M
-Xss2m

Installed memory is 4GB.

With 9.0.1, the problem did not seem to surface anymore.

But, now i'm editing a simple DDS (PF) source, and it's impossible to edit because of the constant lag. I don't know what it's doing, but a PF DDS shouldn't be too complicated to parse (unless it constantly scans all tables in the complete library list...).
At first there was no problem, but now, after editing 3 new, simple DDS sources all of a sudden i have to restart RDi because it's unworkable.

Then, after restarting RDi, i continue editing the * comments in the PF DDS (which is only three fields), and after about 20 minutes the same behavior again.

Back to SEU again (for DDS).
