I haven't seen the /EOF anywhere in our source, so I tried your small example and I can reproduce the same. (i.e. the GETNEXTCHILD prototype disappears from the outline when the /EOF is uncommented.)

In menu option "Windows|Preferences|Remote Systems|IBM i|Program Verifier|ILE RPG" there is a section for defining condition names. I put the CompileSRV_EXPL condition in there and the prototype showed up in the outline every time.

As I don't have any source with /EOF then it is up to you to find out if you can still compile your objects as you would expect, but at least you now know how to define the conditions for the outline to work. Can you let us know how you get on?

Subject: [WDSCI-L] RDP 9.0.0.1 Outline and /EOF

In the trimmed down bit of code below, if I un-comment the "/eof"
statement on line 11, my outline goes away. Whether or not the preceding "/if not defined" is commented or un-commented makes no difference.

Doesn't matter whether live outline is on or off.

I know how to define CompileSRV_EXPL on a custom compile command, but how do I tell LPEX?

I miss my outline...

Sam
