I've installed RDi v9 and tried to use it with the existing Rational Team Concert installation we have (v4.0.2). Unfortunately, it turns out that RTC Client v4.0.2 is not compatible with RDi v9 and we now have to upgrade our whole RTC installation to v4.0.3, which is not a task I am looking forward to.

Apparently this is because RDi is based on eclipse v4.2 and RTC Client v4.0.2 is based on eclipse v3.6. Installation Manager refuses to have the two applications installed in the same package group, so you can't use RTC v4.0.2 from within RDi v9. RTC Client v4.0.3 is based on eclipse v4.2 so Installation Manager does allow them to be installed in the same package group. ( I was given this link to show which products were compatible with each other: <https://www-304.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?q1=1279139&rs=0&uid=swg21279139&cs=utf-8&lang=en&loc=en_US&cc=us>)

I've been told that RDp v8.5.x is compatible with both RTC v4.0.2 and v4.0.3 clients, although I haven't tested that myself and it seems a little contradictory given what I was told about the eclipse versions.

This is not something I've seen mentioned before, so I thought I would note it here for the archives.
