Hi Jerry

I just wanted to let you know that there is an easier way than importing
and exporting, you can just make a copy of your workspace folder. Your
preferences are stored inside the workspace and will be seen by the new
version of RDi.

Note this also works well for giving your geewhiz cool workspace to your
coworkers, you probably want to remove your saved passwords before doing
that.
You can do this to roll out RDi to a larger set of people, by having all of
your customer filters/perspectives/preferences set up in a workspace and
then copying that workspace to everyone.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Rational Developer for i V9.0 Export Preferences
Sent by: wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx

I was easily able to import my RDI 8.5 preferences into V9.

The only preference I found so far that didn't seem to come with import was
my preferred font.

But out of curiosity, after I changed my preferred font I tried to export
my preferences but this process seems to have changed and I cannot figure
out how to export my preferences so that I have a backup of them should I
ever need them.

How do I backup the preferences to an .epf file in V9?
