I used the term "project" in reference to "his work-specific tasks"... Not iProjects... From memory, the OP of that other thread stated that he has a connection for each "project" he works on...

Hi Eric

That doesn't sound like the description on the RFE, no mention of projects there. But maybe...

Vern,

IIRC, there was a recent thread about how some people create project-oriented connections, each with a specifically tailored library list for each connection. In the thread, it seemed that if one had two connections active, that RSE actions might get directed through a different connection, and processed with the wrong library list... I suspect the RFE is intended to block the activation of this connection UNLESS the user has specifically requested the connection to be started. I'd say this is a little like the Windows Services console, where a service can be flagged to only be started manually...

Just guessing here, I haven't looked at the rfe yet...

Hi Michael

I'm not sure I understand this RFE - I've had stuff auto-connect, seems
to me, but I've likely missed something.

Anyhow, I think I'd vote for this if I understood it! Can you expand on
your description, maybe help me know what to look for - what should I
see, for example, in the status line?

Thanks

Vern

Hello,

I've submitted a RFE to add a preference to connections allowing them to
'Connect' at startup. Take a look and vote for it if you like it. :-D
