Hi Gary,

The symptoms would lead me to think that it is the verifier crashing in
the background and bringing down the whole thing. At this point I doubt
that there will be a fix for that since you can go to version 8.5 with the
same license and it does not suffer from this problem.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] RDP 8.0.3 abrupt close
Sent by: wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx

Hoping this helps the RDP team improve their great product, I have a 5250
screen
program that sometimes causes RDP to close abruptly.

Some time past I worked with the team on a similar problem and they wanted
me
to try to identify some detail about the program code that might
contribute to the
abrupt close problem, but I was no help then.

This program and display file combination are maybe a better candidate
because
Source Verify consistently reports RNF7701 for two data structures that
are used
to update a subfile:

D s1DS DS Likerec(S1FMT:*ALL)
D s1DS# DS Likerec(S1FMT:*ALL)

C Update S1FMT s1DS#
C S1@ CHAIN S1FMT s1DS

This program compiles without error and the update and chain operations
work as
intended, so I think this must be a problem in LPEX Editor
