Thank you. I appreciate the vote. Although, this kind of feels like
company to customer innovation in reverse.

Thanks Darren! I voted for it as well. Why not? This is something I've
wanted to see for some time.

Every release of RD Power is an exercise in priorities. Votes on RFEs
really do help us build a case for adding the functions you want.

I have entered one:

We've received a number of RFEs related to compare but, oddly, none that
explicitly ask for compares without sequence numbers.

http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/execute?use_case=viewRfe&CR_ID=16593
Add ability to select compare tool with local history when used with
iProject members
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/execute?use_case=viewRfe&CR_ID=16590
Compare to file should be available from the Remote Systems view
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/execute?use_case=viewRfe&CR_ID=16583
Add the ability to compare iproject members
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/execute?use_case=viewRfe&CR_ID=16582
Add ability to select compare tool to use
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/execute?use_case=viewRfe&CR_ID=10322
Enhanced Compare Selection Interface

As Edmund mentioned, you can download to a project without sequence
numbers and use one of the eclipse compare tools. This works, but an RSE
compare ignoring sequence numbers would be better. Ideally, we'd have
options to turn on sequence number/change date compares if you really
wanted them.

If someone could write up the RFE, and it racks up a few votes, then I
hope we'll be able devote some resources to this in the future.
