I ran into something similar just yesterday but it was weirder than that. I had the member open after changing the extension but the line references on the errors were wrong and it seems to still be picking up the same errors even after the corrections. I finally closed RSE and deleted the temp members it created and that seemed to fix the issue. But I WAS able to open it after the change of extension.

I changed the extension of a member through the Properties window from RPGLE to SQLRPGLE and now I can't open the file. I have tried closing out of RDP 8.0.3 and restarting it, but still cannot open the member. I've tried opening it through a RSE filter as well as through Ctrl-Shift-A

Operation failed. File system input or output error

Ok, so I found the issue. Renaming the file through RSE resulted in a lowercase extension.
SETEBLAIRR.sqlrpgle

Through Windows Explorer I changed the extension to be all caps, and now the file opens.
SETEBLAIRR.SQLRPGLE

After figuring out the issue, it sparked a memory of seeing this on the list before. For some reason I thought this had been fixed.

Is it enough to report it here, or should I open up a PMR?
