No, he's saying that the version of TurnOver on the IBM i is out of date, and that the newer versions of the plugin won't operate fully with the server.

He has plugins that work with his server, but they are not compatible with RPD 8...

I was just in that spot, and all I'll say is that most of what you need as a developer (Worklists, forms management, tasks, cross reference, etc.) are functional with the new plugins in RPD. You won't be able to use the application editor at all, but otherwise, most of the tooling for developers seems to work. Please note that this is not a supported configuration, and support for this will always direct you to upgrade the turnover server to a newer version.

I run RDP 8.0 and have no issue with the TurnOver plugins.
There is no need to load WDSc 7.0 just to use the TurnOver plugins

Jeff,

I have both WDSC 7.0 and RDP 8.0 on my pc. the only issue that I see is
if I have both WDSC and RDP up and running my pc runs really slow. I have
recently upgraded our TurnOver to the 12-06-2010 version and it works
grate with RDP8.0.

[WDSCI-L] Turnover Plugin
Sent by:

I have just been informed that I am getting the Turnover Client installed.
I have RDP 8.0.3 installed on my PC now.
The IT Techs have informed me that the plugin for RDP will not work with
the
version of Turnover that we have installed and that they need to install
WDSC 7.0 to enable me to use the plugin.
Is there any problem with installing WDSC 7.0 when I already have RDP
8.0.3
installed?

Thanks,

Jeff Young
