OK I figured it out I do not need to install the QEF because it is already
installed. The quantum installed. I have three tabs Database bookmarks,
Quantum SQL queries view and quantum table view. I do a select from a
file NEWLIB/UTSCTP which I know exist and I do a statement select * from
newslib/utsctl01 and it gives me an error on the slash mark.

How can I make it point to my iSeries machine. In the book marks or is
there somewhere where I can get a reference for this tool?

If you look at the list of plug-ins for RDP you should see GEF already in
the list. I am running Quantum version 3.3.9 and had no issues
installing.

Two thoughts:
1. Maybe it is the way you are installing Quantum. How are you doing the
install?
2. In the past some of the Quantum versions were written to a more
current version of Eclipse than the Rational tooling was using. Be sure
your Eclipse version matches the Quantum Eclipse requirement.

Rick

"I was trying to load that Quantum SQL tool but I did not have the GEF
tool for the most recent version 3.6.2. So I loaded that first and when
that happened it gave me this error."

I have never had any problems installing the QuantumDB plug-in with any
version of WDSc, RDi or RDP - and I have never had to install GEF! Maybe I
have been fortunate? Or maybe you are trying install the plug-in with
something other than RDP?
