If you installed on Win 7 where did you install it? If you took the default it does seem to be veeeeerrrrrryyyyyyy sssssllllllllooooooowwwwwww. Check the archives - but the simple fix is to change the recommended install directory to most anything else. I had the same problems and it sings now - much faster than WDSC.
