Thanks Roger,
I found the file in the workspace, deleted it and now can open the source member
using LPEX.

Subject: Re: [WDSCI-L] Changed member type, now RDp can not open member

Jeff,
I would find and delete the backup of the member in the workspace.
Not sure about rdp but in wdsc 7 there is a remotesystemtemp
directory. The old source member will be listed somewhere under your
connection. It probably stills has a RPGLE member type. If you
delete the RPGLE member, you should be fine once you reopen the
SQLRPGLE member.

in RDp,
I saved the member, closed the editor and used the properties option from the
menu to change the source type.
All appeared to be fine until I attempted to open the source member under the
new type.
I received the following error: Operation failed. File system input or output
error
Message reported from file system: Resource
'/RemoteSystemsTempFiles/RETALIX/QSYS.LIB/R37MODS.LIB/QRPGLESRC.FILE/IOWHRECR.SQLRPGLE'
'
does not exist.

I have just installed service pack 8.0.0.2.

If I rename the member and add the new name to my filter, I can open it with
no
problem.

All suggestions appreciated.

TIA,
