You most certainly could show multiple members in WDSC as you descripe in
your second paragraph. I very often have 4 members open at once, and on
my dual widescreen monitors I can see them full width without having to
have any horizontal scrolling (might be one of the only positives of 80
char limit).

You can also now drag/drop in an editor window - even between them, if
you have 2 or more visible simultaneously - this is fairly new - WDSC
did not have it.

To show 2 members at once, drag the editor tab to the far right or far
bottom and you'll see a hint of the new border - drop it and b-d-bing!

Lots to like in this IDE.
