Generally I find that the last setting I used is what is kept around for the next time - probably in the object associated with my profile and PDM. Now WDSC, etc., use that command as they want to - I'm not sure why the search has the *EVENTF parameter, since I think that has to do with getting the error listing back to WDSC. Nonetheless -

Now I remember a time when it seemed those QPUOPRTF spooled files were not automatically deleted - they always are now, so I'm not sure when that changed - long before version 7, IIRC. So it surprised me that this behavior has arisen for you.

I'm sure I've not helped much, my friend!

More on this. I finally thought to look at the iSeries Commands Log tab.
In there it had:

FNDSTRPDM STRING(@urgaroi) FILE(ADSGL200/QS36SRC) MBR(*ALL) OPTION(*NONE)
COL(1 *RCDLEN) CASE(*IGNORE) PRTRCDS(*ALL *CHAR) PARM(*EVENTF)

Now where did that PRTRCDS setting come from? The default (on our system,
anyway) is *No *None. I searched the preferences again and I could not find
anything that seemed like it would affect this setting.

Mr. Berg you teach me baseball, and I'll teach you mathematics. But let's
forget it. I'm sure you'd learn mathematics faster than I'd learn baseball.

Jerry, I couldn't find any settings pertaining to this in RDPi. I don't
have WDSC handy so can't help with that. If I get a chance I'll try to
fire it up when I get home and take a peek.
