JVM 8096 is a pretty intense Java error. It can be caused by a number of factors. You can Google for JVM exit code 8096. Here are a couple of possibilities (one clears the JVM cache, one disables Direct3D):

Rebooting didn't cut it. Had to clear my cache. Even still, I cannot refresh the outline of the source in question. I was able to open up a different source and refresh its outline.

I'm on RDp, most current version with all available updates applied.
Windows 7 machine.

I went into RDp again. Crashed when I tried another save. Re-opened, crashed when doing a refresh outline. Kept getting the same message as appears in the screenshot.

Time to reboot.
