Rick,

I don't have anything definite, but I've seen problems with firewall/exit
point monitor programs causing some similar symptoms. Do you have any
security programs on your IBM i? If so, check there. I our setup,
someone responsible usually gets a message or some other notification when
trying to download something that's not been authorized.

[WDSCI-L] No outline for newly created source members

I have encountered a frustrating issue with Rational Developer for i
7.5. The outline view will not display source details for members
in newly created libraries and source files.

I downloaded Paul Tuohy's external I/O examples yesterday and
started looking at them this morning. The first thing I did was to
refresh the outline view to get an overview of the source. It
appeared to do the work as indicated by the progress icon, but
nothing appeared in the outline view.

I tried verifying with prompt and refreshed the cache before doing
another outline refresh. Nothing.

I copied the source member to an existing source file, opened it
from there, and refreshed the outline view. Worked fine.

Using RDi I created a new library and source physical file, and
copied several source members from the original source file to the
new one. Opened a member, refreshed the outline view, and nothing.

Has anyone come across anything like this? Any suggestions?

I did also add Rational Team Concert to my RDi install yesterday but
I haven't done anything with it yet other than open a couple of the
Jazz perspectives.
