I installed WDSC 7 in Win 7 X64 without a problem ... but I did update
the
installation manager to the most current version (as shipped with RDP
8.0).

Although it's easy to miss, the installation manager does tell you NOT to
install the application in the "C:\Program Files" directory because it's
a
virtualized directory. If you do, the only way the application will run
is
with administrator privileges. If you install it in any other directory,
you should be fine.
