Just been playing around with the trial of RDP v8.0. I notice there is a
new Spooled Files subsystem within the RSE view. Is this a “technology
preview”? (I can find no mention of it in the Announcements or on-line
Help.)
The reason I ask is that the (very welcome) new function has no options for
managing spooled files, i.e. Save, Print, Delete, Hold, etc. as the
Softlanding RSE Extensions tool always has. Also, the Image (TIFF) view does
not appear to allow paging beyond the first page – something of a
limitation!
The unfortunate thing is that the RSE Extensions plug-in is not compatible
with RDP v8.0. Not only have we lost the Spooled File tool, but the valuable
Message subsystem and Source Compare tools as well. Does anyone have any
insight as to whether the RSE Extensions will be updated for RDP v8.0 or
not?
